Here’s how they came in.

Season 13 of American Ninja Warrior had many fantastic moments. A lot of those moments happened at the buzzer. Completing a course, hitting that iconic buzzer, setting off the smoke, and sparklers... It’s unforgettable for the audience and the Ninjas.

Looking back, season 13 had 114 buzzers spread across the entire competition.

Around 400 competitors began the competition in the Tacoma Dome. Only 55 of them would complete the first course. In the Semifinals, the number of course completions was slashed nearly in half, down to 27 buzzers. There was actually a bump in buzzers when it came time for the National Finals, where we saw 32 course completions.

What do we think about this? We’re not sure. Are you surprised the number of buzzers rose from the Semifinals into the National Finals? What about the number of Qualifying buzzers? Is 55 a surprising number considering how many competitors attempted the course? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Below, we’ve given you a bit of a breakdown of how the buzzers racked up.

Qualifiers - 55 buzzers

  • Buzzers per episode: 5, 7, 12, 13, 18

Semifinals - 27 buzzers

  • Buzzers per episode: 4, 5, 6, 12

National Finals - 32

  • Buzzers per stage: 27, 4, 1
