We’ve seen six episodes of American Ninja Warrior’s 13th season and we’ve seen 10 brand new obstacles so far.

Each year, the show’s producers are challenged to come up with courses that are daunting, but not impossible. Exhausting, but not unworkable. Every time they come up with a new obstacle, Ninjas across the county replicate it as quickly as possible to study and perfect every movement needed to accomplish it. Creating a perfect course is no easy task.

If you want to learn more about what goes into fine-tuning an obstacle, check out our article here, where we crashed a testing session and asked the people in charge how they finalize a new obstacle for the show. Now we can tell you that the “obstacle nine” we discussed in the article was the Inverter.

The producers aren’t alone in this mission. They keep their eyes open for great ideas. Some come from the Ninjas themselves. Some come from viewers like you! Our annual Obstacle Design Challenge allows fans to send in obstacle designs. The producers review them and select one to place on a real course during the following season. You can submit your idea here!

Below, we’ve pulled together photos of each of this season’s brand-new obstacles. Take a look and tell us what you think in the comment section. We’ll update this as more new obstacles are revealed in upcoming episodes.
