The Ninja Warrior community never ceases to amaze us. Not only is it made up of talented, athletic individuals who are always ready to support one another, but a lot of them are also really darn creative.

Jeffrey Qaiyum and Kevin Byrne recently took part in the American Ninja Warrior season 13 Qualifiers. Both rookies over the age of 40, they couldn’t help but notice the differences between themselves and some of the younger competitors. But they had a great attitude about it.

Jeffrey even wrote and recorded a rap about the experience that’s jammed-packed with Ninja references and uses a little humor about preparing for the course at his age. Take a listen below.

Kevin reached out and shared the rap with us and we’re glad he did. We have to admit, it’s catchy. Here are all the Ninja references we picked up on in the song.

  • Jesse Labreck
  • Barclay Stockett
  • Akbar Gbajabiamila
  • Allyssa Beird
  • Najee Richardson
  • Towers of Power - Dan Polizzi and Brandon Mears
  • Grant McCartney
  • Jake Murray
  • Joe Moravsky
  • Matt Iseman
  • Zuri Hall

Did we miss any?

We tend to focus on the well-known veterans when we think about the upcoming season. How will they do? What will they accomplish? We appreciated this reminder that the bulk of the Ninja Warrior community consists of hardworking people of all ages and levels of experience.

Thanks to Kevin for sharing Jeffery’s rap! We can’t wait to see them on the upcoming season of American Ninja Warrior!
