Ugh. We miss the American Ninja Warrior family. It feels like it’s been a decade since we last saw the Ninjas and the hosts on our TV screens. So what do you do in the age of social media when you miss someone? You patrol their profiles.
We were missing the hosting team hard today, so we set out to discover what Zuri Hall, Matt Iseman, and Akbar Gabjabiamila have been up to since season 12 wrapped!
Zuri Hall
Zuri is constantly busy creating the uplifting content the world needs. She’s still a host on Access Hollywood.
Zuri started a new podcast called “Hot Happy Mess” (which is best suited for the grownups in the house). In it, she gets real about the topics that lead to a full, happy life.
She has NOT worn sweatpants every day of the pandemic, which is WAY more than we can say for ourselves.
And also, she’s making sure she enjoys the heck out of life, which is a lesson we can all benefit from.
Matt Iseman
The ever-energetic Matt hasn't slowed down at all. He’s still hosting LiveRescue & RescueCam on AETV.
He has also been hosting the new podcast, “Factorius,” a weekly trivia show you can find on Apple podcasts.
He celebrated a glorious 50th birthday.
Did Matt get a puppy? Is he borrowing a puppy? Doesn’t matter. Here’s Matt and a puppy.
Akbar Gbajabiamila
Akbar is still a commentator for the NFL Network. As you can imagine, he was quite busy with the recent Super Bowl.
He shares his advice and inspiration in any way he can.
.@Akbar_Gbaja is inspired by genuine community and partnerships. "You can bring and trust people from your community to move you forward," the former NFL star says. #BHMNBCU #InvestInYou (In partnership with @acorns.) https://t.co/wpw1SMUdqa pic.twitter.com/hOc1Mq1ENj

Like all of us, he has spent a lot more time at home lately, and he's killing the social media game while having a great time with his family.
Akbar also epically pranked Matt for his birthday. (But can we please appreciate how Matt sprung into serious action?)
We’re glad to see that Zuri, Matt, and Akbar are busy and happy during this downtime for the show. But we can’t wait to start seeing American Ninja Warrior posts on their timelines again.
