We will have a new All-Stars Challenge sometime in the future!

In the dark of the American Ninja Warrior off-season, there’s always a glimmer of light in the form of the yearly specials! We announced three upcoming specials back in September.

The specials are recorded around and after the regular competitions and aired after the season wraps. We don’t have any air dates yet for the three specials recorded along with season 13, but we do know we’ll have two newer ones to watch.

The Women’s Championship will return for the second time, and the first-ever family special will debut. (We’re not getting the USA vs The World competition this year.)

Returning once again, we will see the All-Stars Competition! The special challenge has been around since season seven. We obviously didn’t get this show post-season 12, so we can’t wait to have it back.

Let’s do a little rewind to the last All-Stars Competition that aired in 2020 (it was taped in 2019 before... You know). If you want to read every detail about that special episode, we have all the articles collected in a hub, here.

Below, we’ve included some fast highlights. Looking back has us looking forward to the new special, whenever we get to see it!

Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila put together teams of veterans for the relay runs. Zuri Hall, who was in her first year with the show, pulled together the rookies.

But it was Matt’s team of very seriously experienced Ninjas who ended up taking the title.

We added a new skills challenge to the program with the inclusion of the Fearsome Ferris Wheel.

Grant McCartney, Chad Flexington, and an alligator brought their unique personalities to the Striding Steps.

Michael Torres became the Mega Spider Climb Champion when he raced Ethan Swanson and hit the buzzer in 16.37 seconds.

The very-subjective Big Dipper Freestyle Challenge ended with Jessie Graff and Grant McCartney as deserving co-champions.

What will the next All-Stars Competition bring? We’ll have to wait to find out, but you know the Ninjas always bring their A games!
