It’s “First/Last Week” here at American Ninja Warrior Nation. So we asked ourselves, “When did the show first air?”
That answer is December 12, 2009.
American Ninja Warrior (not the predecessor American Ninja Challange) made its debut on the G4 channel just in time for the 2009 holidays. Truly, it was a gift to us all.
That makes December 12 American Ninja Warrior’s birthday (sort of). We just missed the show’s 11th birthday by a month! (11 years, 12 seasons.)
Well happy belated birthday, American Ninja Warrior. The show is in good company. According to Google, here are some of the other famous folks who were born on December 12.

American Ninja Warrior first aired on December 12, 2009. Hopefully, it’s a very long time before we find out what it’s “last” airdate might be. May that be years and years away!
