Less than 24 hours ago, we finally got to share the news that American Ninja Warrior is on its way back! Season 12 will debut on September 7. The news was, ahem, well received.

The taping of season 12 was postponed back in March when the pandemic turned the whole world on its head. There were concerns and rumors that the season was cancelled. That the show was cancelled. That Ninja Warrior wasn’t coming back.

It was a tough secret to keep to ourselves when we got our own version of the coveted “call.” The call that told us to pack our bags, we were heading to St. Louis for this very special filming. Sorry we had to hide it from you all!

When the news broke, it was a welcome relief to the entire community. Social media was flooded with posts of the epic poster for the new season. Let’s take a look at that one more time...

It’s pretty great, right? Meagan Martin, Karsten Williams, Michael Torres, and Jesse Labreck are all awesome poster Ninjas for the show. Here are some of the other joyous responses to the announcement. They also give us a little tease on which Ninjas will be on the new season.

Ninja Warrior sideline reporter Zuri Hall just hit the nail on the head with this one. She IS our feelings on this! (Don’t deny that you’re studying every frame for hints about the season.)

Check out this video from Lance Pekus. Name those masked Ninjas! (Covid-19 precautions were taken very seriously on set.)

Grant McCartney was back in his element: At the starting line.

Super mom Sandy Zimmerman dropped that she’ll be back on the new season as well!

Mady Howard celebrated the news with a little taste of what we might see on the course.

Daniel Gil has waited long enough. Let’s get him back on the obstacles ASAP!

Raise your hand if you’re counting down the days till September 7!

American Ninja Warrior season 12 premieres on Monday, September 7 at 8pm EST/PST on NBC.
