The greatest buzzers in history: Season nine’s winner

Joe’s Last Ninja Standing run took the season.

This article was published prior to Drew Drechsel’s arrest. NBC and American Ninja Warrior have since cut ties with him.

Season nine’s “greatest buzzer” belongs to Joe Moravsky! Well, it’s not a “buzzer,” but his Last Ninja Standing run. His run came out on top in the final round of voting.

As we previously shared: Season nine was the second year that Joe Moravsky took the title of Last Ninja Standing. He ended the season on the Time Bomb of the challenging Stage Three. He got there after completing both the Cleveland Qualifying course and the City Finals course (one of only two competitors to do so).

Runs like this have an important place in American Ninja Warrior history. Each run on the later stages of the competition fuel the drive to come back stronger and better. The Ninjas can almost taste Total Victory and it makes them hungry for more.

Drew Drechsel was also the Last Ninja Standing twice before he achieved Total Victory in season 11. This run from Joe could be the lasting fuel he needs to keep training until he too can say he’s an American Ninja Warrior Champion.

Once all the seasons have declared a winner, this run will be back for the championship round!
