This artist is giving Ninjas the superhero treatment

Juan Carlos Espinosa’s images of American Ninja Warriors are magical.

The Art of Ninjas/Instagram

We all know American Ninja Warriors have superhero-like abilities. Now one fan is creating art that does them justice.

We’ve talked about Juan Carlos Espinosa and his The Art of Ninjas Instagram account before, but it’s worth another look at his creations. Juan Carlos is a graphic designer and dad living in Bogota, Colombia with his wife and young son. He’s watched American Ninja Warrior since season one and was inspired to use his skills to create fan art for the show.

The results are pretty magical. Especially if you know the show and can appreciate the care Juan Carlos has taken in representing the warriors.

His latest works looks like epic teaser posters for the American Ninja Warrior/dark superhero movie we never knew we wanted to see.

As you scroll through Juan Carlos’ work, you can tell he’s absolutely a true fan. Every piece reflects not just a Ninja Warrior’s physical abilities but the aspects of their personalities that draw fans to adore them.

Like Maggi Thorne’s “never give up” determination.

Mathis “The Kid” Owhadi’s focused and youthful approach to training and competing.

Najee Richardson’s past of rising from the ashes of injuries.
