So far, days in social isolation go a bit like this: Wake up - “This is fine. I’ve got this!” Two hours later - “I’M GOING STIR CRAZY. THE WALLS ARE CLOSING IN.”
We’re so not alone in feeling this. Your friends feel it. Your family feels it. The American Ninja Warriors feel it. Season 12’s taping dates might be postponed at the moment, but it’s not like that is going to stop them from getting their bodies moving.
That actually works out well for the rest of us. Isolated Ninjas are turning to social media to put together workouts that keep them going, and keep us going. These are especially great for kids who need to burn off some energy. Not only will these workouts fulfill their P.E. requirements, but they’ll be inspired by following along with their favorite Ninja Warriors.
Here are a few to get you started. You can find SO many more on social media platforms like Instagram.
Meagan Martin put together a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout that’s posted on her YouTube page.
Morgan “Moose” Wright breaks down the basics of Ninja Warrior training specifically for kids. (This was part of the Ninja Warrior live-streaming series. Check out that schedule here.)

Sean Darling-Hammond has these “ies-y” (pronounced “easy”) workouts that really don’t live up to their name, in a good way.
Rachael Goldstein is all about that box jump inspiration. She also appears to have many stable surfaces in her home. Be very careful in selecting your own leaping locations.
Maggi Thorne wants you to put your new cleaning supplies to use. (But we should point out, don’t go hangout in stores to workout. GO HOME. STAY THERE IF YOU CAN.)
The Backyard Ninja Kids are ALL about keeping kids fit and working towards their goals. Check out their YouTube page for more.
Like we said, this is just a tiny sampling of the workouts popping up online that are just from Ninja Warriors. This is such a fun, engaging way for you and your family to stay fit while we work through these social distancing weeks!
