In the midst of a national crisis, Roo Yori is reminding us that we can be the helpers. He recently posted a Mr. Rogers quote on Instagram.
“When I was a boy and I would see scary thing in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people helping.’”
And during this COVID-19 pandemic, Roo Yori is among the helpers. Besides working at the Mayo Clinic, we bet you can guess who else Roo is helping – the dogs, of course!
With many people strapped for cash due to lay-offs, and news that shelters are being overwhelmed with pets whose owners simply couldn’t afford to feed them, Roo took to Instagram to offer a solution.
Yep, Roo Yori is delivering food to dogs in need in the Rochester, Minnesota area!
Roo Yori has dedicated his American Ninja Warrior career to his passion. He uses every run as chance to raise awareness for adoption and pups in need. In season 11 of American Ninja Warrior, Roo was even surprised with a $20,000 check from the makers of “The Secret Life of Pets 2.” That money, of course, went to the dogs.
Last year, Roo helped raise over $40K for dogs in need. This year, he wants to raise even more! You can join his efforts by clicking here and donating to the cause. Roo hasn’t received “the call” for season 12 yet, but if/when he does, he has a master plan to help more dogs every step of the way.
When fans visit his site, they can pledge money for each obstacle that Roo completes during season 12. Of course, Roo is hoping to complete them all!
