Just... watch this.
Whooooooa.
At the recent 2020 National Ninja League World Championships, American Ninja Warriors Allyssa Beird and Jesse Labreck had the crowd feeling deja vu. On the competition’s Stage Two, the seasoned veterans put up eerily identical runs... with identical falls.
American Ninja Warrior viewers already know these two athletes have a lot in common. Both made their debuts during season eight in Philadelphia. They both fell in the Qualifying round on the tough Rolling Thunder. Both rose to prominence after making it to the City Finals, though. Allyssa and Jesse have both competed at the National Finals for the past four seasons.
Allyssa hit the Stage One buzzer in season nine. Jesse has come within feet of that accomplishment (in the regular season competition). In season 11, Jesse added a City Finals buzzer to her record, something Allyssa still has her sights on.
Basically, they are both really, really great Ninjas. Jesse and Allyssa used to frequently train together and it SHOWS.
So this twin moment didn’t end how they planned, but maybe it means we’ll get twin buzzer moments from them during season 12 of American Ninja Warrior.
