In December, Nelson Thachuk fell off the Salmon Ladder and partially tore his anterior talofibular ligament in his ankle, requiring him to wear a boot. Stepping up to the salmon ladder was daunting after falling and injuring my ankle, but sometimes you have to face your fears head on and trust in yourself. Bonus: I got to do the salmon ladder in steel toed boots ⠀ #NinjaTraining #Ninja #NinjaWarrior #AmericanNinjaWarrior #ANW #SalmonLadder #FaceYourFears #NinjuryCantStopMe ⠀ @lululemon ⠀ @pimovementninja ⠀ @ninja.plus.plus
Now he’s embracing the #BootLife to work on the core/upper body obstacles, like laches...
...and grip strength!
It’s easy to get down in the dumps when you have an injury and feel like you can’t train, but if you can get creative like Nelson, anything is possible!
