In case you live under a Ninja Warrior rock, the season 11 finale episode revealed Drew Drechsel as the season champion after he completed the final rope climb of Stage Four.

Considering there’s only one other American Ninja Warrior Champion in the show’s 11 year history, it’s a big deal. Naturally, the media has taken interest.

Which is why Drew is a guest on The Ellen Show today (Tuesday, September 17). Ellen DeGeneres is a big fan of the show herself and had a lot of questions for the new champion, including one that has crossed most viewers’ minds at some point: Why jeans on the course, Drew?!?

Ellen also had quite the surprise for Drew in the form of his show winnings, presenting him with his hard-earned $1 million cheque. You can watch Ellen’s interview with Drew above.
