The National Finals begin tonight! It’s the beginning of the end of Season 11. The Ninjas have spent insane amounts of time training, visualizing, thinking, dreaming…and it all comes down to this! The National Finals will be broken into four episodes. Tonight will be the first of two episodes featuring Stage One of the National Finals in Las Vegas. The rules are simple. If a Ninja makes it through the whole course within the allotted time, they will move on to Stage Two. If not, their season is done. The obstacles are tough and unforgiving, the time limit doesn’t leave many seconds to think, and based on these first photos, BIG AIR is required. Take a peak.
We’ve seen a version of this in seasons past, but “Spin Your Wheels” looks exceptionally large and in charge. The Ninjas had a wide variety of reactions to this monstrosity. Kevin Bull had a relaxed approach. It looks like he’d be happy to hang out in mid-air all night.
Lorin Ball appears to be having the time of his life. And why not – after an early exit last season, this time he’s made it all the way to Vegas!
Daniel Gil looks absolutely terrified. We hope his nerves don’t get the best of him!
Philip Scott has the look of pure determination.
Michelle Warnky is enjoying the ride, as she should be! She is having the season of a lifetime. As amazing as her Qualifying Run was, we hope Stage One results in more smiles and less blood.
They’re back….Those devastating Diving Boards. Flip looks in full control though. Plus, that Safety Pass gives him even more control.
Is David Wright going to make it through Jeep Run? This photo isn’t giving us a clear cut yes or no…
Travis Rosen is looking pretty comfortable out there…especially considering that the Double Dipper is looming. The Double Dipper was awful to Travis last season. This year we’re rooting for him to get his revenge.
And, a new face in Ninja Warrior this season, Zuri Hall will undoubtedly be in on the Vegas action too. In her own words, “My heart is filled with gratitude — to be a part of a show that’s all about positivity, triumph over tragedy, and the GOOD in people. A show that brings out the best in me, and highlights the best in the people who compete.”
Tune into the Ninja Warrior action tonight, August 26th, at 8/7c on NBC.
