Vote on Matt and Akbar’s celebrity mash-up name

Editor’s note: Before we get into this, we need to be upfront and say this wasn’t our idea in the slightest. April Beckner, head assistant at New Era Ninjas, Ninja camp director, and artist, shared the idea with us while we hid from the rain at the Los Angeles Qualifiers. It seemed like a pretty brilliant idea. She said it would be a fun poll, so we’re just making that a reality!

Name a more iconic duo than American Ninja Warrior hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila. We’ll wait.

The ardent and warm hosts have been an inseparable part of the show since season five when Akbar joined the team. But there’s still something missing...

All celebrity pairs need a slightly obnoxious celebrity name mash-up!

Here are a couple of suggestions (again, courtesy of April’s brain, not ours):

MAkbar: As in Matt and Akbar

AkMan: Like Akbar and Iseman

So, what should we dub our duo? Can anyone work Gbajabiamila into the mash-up? That would be downright impressive.
