Caitlyn and Caleb Bergstrom come from a family of Ninjas. “We actually submitted together, but my whole family has been doing Ninja. My dad did it last year, my brother did it last year. And so I guess just following along with the family tradition and just competing with my brother is just such a great experience,” Caitlyn told ANWN in an interview earlier this year.

Caleb, 19, and Caitlyn, 21, also known as the “Baby Bergies,” are two of nine children in the Bergstrom family. They became fans of the show about five years ago and started creating obstacles in their backyard over their pool. Their father, Jason, first applied for the show in 2016, but didn’t get a call-back until season 9 in 2017. He fell on the Broken Bridge in the Daytona Beach Qualifiers, but was inspired to build the Jungle Gym in Seminole, Florida. The gym opened in 2018 and he recruited several of his children to coach.

Caleb told the the Seminole Beacon, “something about it [ANW] feels very natural to me. I love it. I’ve never been able to stick with other sports. Not because I’m not good, but because I got bored. With Ninja, I wake up every day thinking of new things I can do with it.” In season 11, he became the youngest Ninja to make it up the Mega Wall (pocketing $5,000 along the way!).

Caitlyn got into Ninja because of Caleb, which made advancing to the Atlanta City Finals and then Las Vegas even more special. “There are so many strong females and so many other experienced athletes, I didn’t think that I’d be able to be a part of it and be able to have that spot in my rookie year is just the coolest thing. Especially making it with my brother,” she said.

Who knows which members of the Bergstrom Bunch we’ll see on season 12, but we’re pretty sure they’ll continue crushing!
