The 2019 edition of American Ninja Warrior: USA vs The World will bring a lot of fresh faces to the competition. Team Australia is brand new to the challenge. Team Europe, which has taken part before, includes a whole new line-up of athletes. There’s also one other really interesting new aspect to take a look at. All three of the teams include women this time around. Team USA and Team Europe each have two women, while Team Australia has one woman.
In previous USA vs The World competitions, the teams have mostly featured male competitors. Jessie Graff joined Team USA after her spectacular season eight, where she became the first woman to clear Stage One of the National Finals. While representing Team USA, she also became the first woman to clear Stage Two. Her run proved that women can be point earners in the global competition.
The women selected to take part in the 2019 USA vs The World are not walking into this as amateurs. All of them have taken part in Ninja Warrior competitions in their own countries and earned records and respect. We’re anxiously awaiting the chance to watch them do what they do best on January 27 when this year’s special airs.
If you’re unfamiliar with the female athletes, take a look at some of their most memorable competition moments.
