American Ninja Warrior host Akbar Gbajabiamila took over our Facebook page to tell everyone about his upcoming event, Parkour for Parkinson’s.

On Sunday, August 5, Akbar and some of his Ninja Warrior friends are taking over trampoline and Ninja park, DojoBoom, in Thousand Oaks, CA. It will be an afternoon of flipping, climbing and having a blast. But it’s also an important fundraiser for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Akbar’s father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the late 90’s. After Akbar watched Jimmy Choi run the American Ninja Warrior course, he was inspired to get involved in finding a cure. He’s now on the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s board of directors and is spearheading this event. You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets here.

Akbar also took questions from the fans during the live stream while walking around DojoBoom. The location is managed by Ninja Warrior Kevin Bull. We’ve seen the place ourselves and it’s honestly a lot of fun.

Some clever viewers tried to trick Akbar into giving away show spoilers (9 minute mark), but he was wise to their games. He also talked about nervous he was on Celebrity Ninja Warrior and issues a direct challenge to his co-host Matt Iseman... (9:17 mark)
