Watch Mike Bernardo throw the first pitch for the Washington Nationals

Potential second career?

Daryl Levine

In our latest addition of “Ninjas throwing pitches,” seven-time American Ninja Warrior Mike Bernardo stepped up to the mound for the Washington Nationals. Mike is a firefighter and paramedic in Washington, D.C., which makes him a great choice for the honor.

Everyone knows that ceremonial first pitches are just that, ceremonial. There’s not a whole lot of pressure to make it to the plate. (We’re looking at you, Akbar.) But Mike’s pitch was one of the stronger ones we’ve seen from the Ninja family.

So if this whole Ninja-thing doesn’t work out for Mike, maybe he’s got a fall back. (That’s a joke. Ninja Warrior is going just fine for Mike.)
