Watch Jimmy Choi’s moving return to the Ninja Warrior course

He sent a powerful message last season. His return is even more inspirational.

How could you forget Jimmy Choi’s American Ninja Warrior debut in season nine? Jimmy, who was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s at age 27, stood on the starting line, his tremors visible, while an inspirational message from Michael J. Fox played on the big screen. Jimmy has dedicated his life to raising awareness and funds for Parkinson’s research. His actions have even motivated Akbar Gbajabiamila to get involved.

During that first run in Kansas City, Jimmy fell on the balance obstacle, the Broken Pipes. But in true Ninja Warrior style, Jimmy had no intention of stopping there. He trained more. He worked harder. And he came back to the course in Indianapolis.

The American Ninja Warrior Indianapolis Qualifiers airs Monday, June 18 at 9/8c on NBC.
