Ultimate Backyard Warrior in Rocky Mount, North Carolina holds competition weekends several times a year. They’ve become a staple of the Ninja Warrior community, with Ninjas coming in from around the country to take part. While the competition is at the highest level, it’s really all about the fun and family for the Ninjas.
The latest competition was held over Memorial Day Weekend. While it saw some fan-favorites doing what they do best, it also held some incredibly special moments. Check it out!
Daniel Gil completed every obstacle on all four stages!
Lindsay Eskildsen took first place in the women’s division.
Ninjas like Josh Levin had a great time and tested their skills.

“A week before Ultimate Backyard Warrior I didn’t know how I was going to get there. My 99 Civic wasn’t starting and I didnt have much to put into getting it on the road. I did get it going though and it made the 4 hour trip.
There was a drawing for a 2012 Kia Soul. Chad Hohn, my coach/mentor, & “The Ninja Builder” won the drawing! Chad is the owner of Level Up in Thomasville NC. Chad and his wife Jennifer decided to give the car to me. He asked me to drive him to the dealer and drive his old car back but once we got there he surprised me with his decision!
Who does that? Everyone hears about the Ninja Community, but what Chad has built at Level Up is straight up family.”
