Last holiday season, we were introduced to the North Pole Qualifiers, a special American Ninja Warrior-style challenge just for elves.
It’s inspired many elves on shelves to dream of one day becoming an Elf Ninja Warrior. As we all know, it takes a lot of dedication and training to get course ready. Here are a few examples of how you can help you little elf friend get in tip-tip Ninja shape!
The goal is to make it through a Ninja Warrior course one day, but there are lots of exercises to practice if your elf isn’t quite there yet.

Rock climbing is a ready way to start. It works a lot of essential Ninja muscle groups.
Never underestimate the importance of core strength on the course.
The obstacles are endlessly unpredictable. Get creative with the training.
Partner training is a wonderful way to hone in on new skills and receive feedback on the progress being made.

Grip strength will be essential and elves seem to be zip line naturals.

Strength training is a great way to stay strong while on the road for the holidays, away from the home Ninja gym.
Pull ups are hard, but they’re an essential to Salmon Ladder success.
Be sure to think big and train for the final rope climb of Stage Four!
Remember, rest is also important to any training regimen. And after all, it is the holidays. Relax a little!
With time and patience, all your elf friends can become festive Ninja competitors!
