Looking for a little Ninja Warrior to go with your tennis? The Wolfpack Ninjas can help with that. They’ve partnered with ATP Tour’s New York Open to bring a Ninja Warrior-style experience to the upcoming event in February.
The press release announcing the partnership described the activities:
“ATP Tour’s New York Open will go above and beyond for spectators. Throughout the Feb. 9-17 event at NYCB Live (Long Island, NY) ticket-holders who want to stretch their legs can participate in Ninja sport activities courtesy of a unique partnership between the New York Open and Wolf Pack Ninjas.”
The Wolfpack Ninjas have been working to put on live Ninja competitions for the past few years. They’ve had events in Colorado, and more recently, Hong Kong. The group was co-founded by American Ninja Warrior competitors Noah Kaufman and Ian Dory and features many fan-favorites at their events. While the finalized list of Ninjas attending the New York Open event has not been release yet, Ninjas such as Travis Brewer, Nicholas Coolridge, Ryan Stratis, Jennifer Tavernier, and Roo Yori are all part of the Wolfpack Ninjas Pro Team.
New York Open ticket-holders will gain free admission to the “experiential Ninja obstacle course” in the exhibition hall of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. During the final weekend of the event, February 16-17, the Wolfpack Ninjas will also be offering interactive training tutorials, competitions, and meet-and-greet sessions with the athletes.
Co-founder Noah Kaufman shared his vision for the event via press release, “Wolf Pack Ninjas have made tremendous impact in thousands of lives by working and playing with their fans,’ Kaufman said. ‘Our most recent events in Colorado and Hong Kong awed the crowd, who just loved the chance for individual attention from many of the world’s top Ninjas. That’s exactly what we have in mind for our new friends who attend the New York Open.’
It will certainly be a busy time for New England-area Ninja Fans. The National Ninja League World Championships will take place February 15-18 in Hartford, CT, just a few hours away. Basically, for a couple of days, the New York and Connecticut area will be a mecca of Ninja Warrior competitors and a destination for any American Ninja Warrior fan.
