One of the trademark aspects of American Ninja Warrior is how it’s wildly unpredictable. Every year brings us breakout runs from faces we haven’t seen before. And shocking falls from people we thought were almost invincible.
One year, a Ninja can be on top. They can go the farthest the fastest and be declared the “Last Ninja Standing.” But that title lends them no benefits in the following season. Just like the rookies, they need to take down the Qualifiers and City Finals before getting back to Las Vegas.
Now, we’re not saying that’s a bad thing. Part of the reason a lot of people love Ninja Warrior is because it leaves the door open for anything to happen. We understand that in the fight against the course, the Ninjas move back to square one each year.
But, we do imagine this point could spark an interesting conversation.
Do you think the “Last Ninja Standing” should automatically advance to the National Finals in the following season?
