What you didn’t see: San Antonio City Finals

It was clear both behind-the scenes and during the episode, the Hourglass Drop was a Ninja killer.

The American Ninja Warrior San Antonio City Finals continued the message sent by the Los Angeles City Finals: This is going to be tough. The course only had one finisher and only four Ninjas would make it to the final obstacle.

17 Ninjas qualified to move on to the National Finals in Las Vegas. Only one of those finalists, Matt Holt, wasn’t shown on the episode.

Here are some other notes on what we didn’t get the chance to see in San Antonio!

We saw on TV: 31 Ninjas on the course

Night of recording: 34 Ninjas tried to advance to the next round

We saw on TV: 2 Ninjas fail on the Sky Hooks, the fourth obstacle

Night of recording: 3 competitiors fell on Sky Hooks

We saw on TV: 16 Ninjas defeated by the Hourglass Drop

Night of recording: A whopping 18 Ninjas couldn’t pass the obstacle

We saw on TV: 2 Ninjas fail the Spinball Wizard

Night of recording: Yup, 2 Ninjas fell here! We expected more would be challenged by the new obstacle.
