Hey Kansas City Ninja Warriors, we’re really sorry. The American Ninja Warrior Obstacle Design Challenge brought you Crank It Up. Uh oh.
On this week’s segment of Crashing the Course, Alex Weber met up with design challenge winner Kevin Brekke to talk through his scary creation.
Crank It Up requires the Ninjas to push themselves up just about six feet at different angles. They then have to kip their bodies over to the next set of cranks.
All in all, they’ll have to repeat the exhausting motion three times.
In order to understand the physics behind the required kips, Alex and Kevin called in Ninja Warrior Natalie Duran to break it down for them in the POM Wonderful Tip of the Week.
After her demo, Alex took a step back and let Kevin take a turn on his own design.
Kevin gave it his best shot but couldn’t quite overcome his own contraption.
Find out if Crank It Up is going to be a Ninja killer on the Kansas City episodes of American Ninja Warrior!
