Ninjas will have to hop three free-flying rings on to three separate hooks. If they start pivoting, there’s a good chance they’ll end up in the water. The obstacle puts grip strength, body control and momentum to the test.
Before he tried it out himself, host Alex Weber tracked down Island Ninja Grant McCartney for some advice.

Which lead to Grant giving us a POM Wonderful Tip of the Week.
His thoughts? Take dancing to the course. He demonstrated a body roll hop that works on the dance floor as well as the Sky Hooks.
When Grant put his words into action, he handled the Sky Hooks with little trouble.

Then it was Alex’s turn.

How’d it go? You’ll have to watch to find out. But it ended with ice cream!

Now is that celebration, or consolation ice cream? The American Ninja Warrior San Antonio City Qualifiers will air Monday, June 19 at 8/7c on NBC.
