Over 100 Ninja Warriors took part in the Ultimate Backyard Warrior competition

The annual event has become a must-do for many American Ninja Warriors

Each Memorial Day weekend, Ninjas from all over the country head to North Carolina to take part in Mike Cook’s Ultimate Backyard Warrior competition.

The huge Ninja gathering includes four stages of competition, timed events like a 100 foot rope climb, and serious cash prizes. Heck, they could even win a car this year!

The homegrown event looks like Ninja Warrior summer camp. There’s camping, food trucks, music and a lot of bonding time as they run the courses into the wee hours of the morning. The event took place in a new location this year, but previously, it’s been held at what’s called the “Enchanted Ninja Forest.” Seriously, how cool is that?

Check out these videos from the event, featuring some of your favorite American Ninja Warriors!

Here’s Mike Cook. He gets REALLY excited for his Ultimate Backyard Warrior competition.

This rope climb disappears into the night sky, making it look incredible.

Jamie Rahn and Sean Darling-Hammond were on the same side on Team Ninja Warrior, but they competed head to head at UBW.

Jessie Graff also competed, along with other awesome Ninjas like Michelle Warnky and Maggi Thorne.

Daniel Gil ran Stage Two in the dark.

Josh Levin continued to prove why he was such a sensation on his first season of American Ninja Warrior.

Ethan Swanson tried to keep up with Jon Alexis Jr.

But despite the loss, it still looks like he had a pretty good time.

I LOOOVE giant rope swings, and this was BY FAR the biggest I've ever been on at 100 feet. It feels like you're flying.
