A promise is a promise...

Stephen Amell, star of the popular TV show “Arrow” seems to really enjoy messing with us. His character has demonstrated American Ninja Warrior-style skills, like the Salmon Ladder, many times on the show, leading fans to call for him to take the course.
In this Facebook video, Stephen says he will flat out tell producers he wants to be on the show in 2017. Great. Exciting, right?
No. Not so fast. He’s played fast and loose with our emotions in the past.
For example, this Twitter exchange:
Hey @ninjawarrior - I would like to compete on your show in 2017.
— Stephen Amell (@StephenAmell) September 3, 2016
We accept. Can we borrow the Arrow Cave for the City Finals? https://t.co/4xwcO8RJC9

We got worked up. This should have been in the works.
But then Stephen went and said this:
That sounds like a polite “no.” We’ve been turned down before. We know what it sounds like.
So Stephen, please, stop toying with our hearts. Stop training your grip and upper body strength so much. Stop saying these things.
OR just confirm you’re going to do American Ninja Warrior so we can properly freak out. That would work as well.
UPDATE! Stephen has stepped up to the plate! He’s confirmed as part the Red Nose Day celebrity Edition of American Ninja Warrior. The show will air at 8 pm on May 25.
