Season nine’s list of nightmares: National Finals obstacles

22 obstacles stood between the Ninjas and their chance to climb for $1 million.

After battling the obstacles all season, the Ninjas finally faced the American Ninja Warrior National Finals. The Las Vegas location consisted of three courses, each more difficult than the last. If anyone beat them all, they would have faced the final stage, an 80 foot rope climb to the top of Mount Midoriyama.

Stage one was a triumph for the Ninjas. A record 41 Ninjas were able to hit that first buzzer. However, on Stage Two the course took back the upper hand. Only three Ninjas would be able to survive Wingnut Alley and move to the next stage.

On the daunting Stage Three, Sean Bryan, Najee Richardson and Joe Moravsky gave it their all. Joe would last the longest, finally falling on the Time Bomb.
