Akbar Gbajabiamila showed us how he preps for the show, and let us pick his pants

We gave American Ninja Warrior co-host Akbar Gbajabiamila the keys to our Facebook page, and oh boy, did he take us for a whirlwind drive! Akbar was in his dressing room when he decided to turn on the camera and take us all DEEP behind the scenes.

As producers popped in to get Akbar ready for filming, they found themselves front and center for our enjoyment.

“Whatever you need to say to me, you can say in front of the people.”

We learned about his footwear, and that Matt Iseman’s love of Crocs has rubbed off on Akbar.

We got a glimpse of the bathroom because... well... inquiring minds want to know!

Assistant Director Dave Massey stopped by, and honestly, we don’t think he realized what he was walking into. He ran once Akbar started telling the fans about his “sexy TV voice.”

Jackie from wardrobe came by and just wanted to get Akbar dressed. But, you guessed it, she became part of the live stream.

Akbar then crowd-sourced his pants for the night.

Sara Brown brought Akbar his vegan soul food. It was a very exciting moment for all involved.

He took us over to an equipment truck and made up a bunch of nonsense about how things work.

We ALMOST got a sneaky look at the course, but those lights protected the show’s secrets.

With that, Akbar had to go make some TV!
