Team USA were invited to the White House to meet the President, Vice President, and First Lady. Naturally, the brought along American Ninja Warrior hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila. Because, duh, why wouldn’t you? They can narrate your handshake with the President of the United States!
Just kidding. Matt and Akbar were there for the Team USA Awards, which they were hosting.
But let’s think about it for a second, Matt and Akbar might just be the political team of the ages!
Here’s a little look at their visit to the White House.
They snapped a quick pic with Allyson Felix. Get it? Because she’s an Olympic sprinter?
They hung out with Olympic boxer Claressa Shields.

Always ready to get the crowd going, Akbar started the “U.S.A!” chant.
Matt hopefully alluded to his future career in politics.
Proof that Hollywood careers lead to bigger things. Maybe an NBC Reality show is a stepping stone to the White House? pic.twitter.com/TCswhj2sUk

Seriously, how at home does Akbar look in the White House?
They ALL got to meet the President!

Akbar walked us into the Oval Office, but then turned the camera off. We’re just imagining that his first question to President Barack Obama was how soon we’ll see him on the course.
(Hey, it could happen! He did “Running Wild with Bear Grylls”!)
