American Ninja Warrior National Finals Stage One: New, brutal, and much harder

The Ninjas will be up against some of the fiercest obstacles yet when they hit Vegas.

It’s here. After an incredible round of Qualifiers and City Finals, we’re on to the American Ninja Warrior National Finals in Las Vegas.

Now we all know that last season two Ninjas were able to complete all four stages (Isaac Caldiero and Geoff Britten). So it should come as no surprise that the producers pulled no punches in designing this year’s course.

Take a look at stage one in this preview. It contains eight obstacles, some of which we’ve never seen before.

Ninjas will start out on Snake Run, a series of steps with an unclear path. Ninjas must choose and move, hoping they picked the right route.

They’ll move on to face the Broken Bridge. The name pretty much says it all. It’s a series of narrow platforms that sway easily and vary in placement and distance from the next platform.

Next, we have the Flying Squirrel. Such a cute name for a diabolical obstacle. It’s a little hard to explain, so you should definitely check out the video. But just trust us when we say yeah, Ninjas are going to go flying.

Be sure you catch stage one of the National Finals on Monday, August 29th!
