A word to the wise: American Ninja Warriors lay out how to get on the course

Take their advice. They’ve done this before!

Casting for season ten of American Ninja Warrior is well underway. There’s only a few weeks left before the January 2 deadline. Tens of thousands of people all over the country are sure they are the next American Ninja Warrior.

A fraction of those applicants will actually step on the course.

We’ve complied advice from the very best sources, including Ninja Warriors like Meagan Martin and Jake Murray, to help returning and future Ninjas send in the video that’s going to get them on the show.

Tips from successful Ninja Warriors:

Meagan Martin: Be creative and a little funny

Jake Murray: Experiment and get out of your comfort zone

Brian Arnold: Don’t try to be someone you’re not

Ian Dory: Show off all the different sides of your life and personality

Brian Kretsch: Be yourself, but amped-up

Alan Connealy: Make sure you have a story to tell

Noah Kaufman: Give the producers a compelling reason to pick you within 15 seconds

Advice from the casting department:

Read the interview with Angelou Deign, the Casting Director for American Ninja Warrior. She spells out the do’s and don’ts of creating an effective, attention grabbing video.
